Berlin Fediverse Day

Above the skyline of Berlin the Fediverse logo. The Berlin Fediverse Day will be on the 4th October 2025 at the c-base (Rungestraße 20, Berlin).

The 2nd Berlin Fediverse Day is a networking event for people in the Fediverse. With talks, workshops and networking opportunities, we want to spread knowledge about the Fediverse, promote creative solutions and strengthen the exchange between developers, administrators, academia, civil society and content creators.

We are convinced that a federated and free network is the best way to establish a sustainable social media alternative to Big Tech.

Therefore, our goal is to build a solid network that pools this expertise and encourages participants to remain actively involved after the event and to support each other’s projects. Together, we want to further strengthen the Fediverse in German-speaking countries and Europe and offer a platform that promotes exchange and cooperation within the community.

The 2nd Berlin Fediverse Day takes place at c-base Berlin (Rungestraße 20, 2nd yard directly at the river side).

Venue

The c-base is located at Rungestraße 20 directly between the public transport stations U Heinrich Heine Straße and U+S Jannowitzbrücke. From there it is only a short walk to the venue of the 2nd Berlin Fediverse day, directly at the river Spree in the 2nd yard of Rungestraße 20.

Accessibility

The entrance to the c-base coming from the Rungestraße is barrier free.

The main hall of c-base and the venue at Alex Berlin are accessible to wheelchair users. The lift to the roof terrace does not go all the way to the top, so unfortunately the roof terrace is not accessible.

Networking

In addition to the event, we have set up an open e-mail mailing list for further networking beyond Fediday. Both German and English are spoken on the mailing list.

While organising the conference a Zotero collection of scientific literature about the Fediverse has been created collaboratively.
